(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.

considered. A K-12 school in Elgin, IL is seeking a skilled Sign
Language Interpreter for a contract assignment during the current
school year (CSY). This role is essential in facilitating
communication between hearing-impaired students and their teachers
and peers, ensuring equal access to educational opportunities. Key
Responsibilities: Provide clear and accurate sign language
interpretation for classroom instruction, school events, and
meetings. Collaborate with educators and support staff to
accommodate the needs of deaf or hard-of-hearing students. Support
students understanding of curriculum content through effective
communication techniques. Assist in fostering an inclusive learning
environment. Qualifications: Proficiency in American Sign Language
(ASL) with strong interpreting skills. Experience working within
educational settings, preferably K-12 environments. Ability to
adapt to diverse communication needs and specialized vocabulary.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain
confidentiality. Location: Elgin, Illinois Assignment Duration:
Contract, Current School Year (CSY) This opportunity is ideal for
