(ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1
year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. A position is available for a skilled Sign Language
Interpreter to support elementary students in a school setting.
This contract role is onsite, serving from the start date ASAP
through May 22, 2026, with opportunities for full-day or
afternoon-only schedules. Location: Lincoln, NE (Elementary School
environment) Responsibilities: Provide accurate and effective sign
language interpretation services for elementary students.
Facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students
and educators, ensuring equal access to educational content.
Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and support personnel to
meet individual students communication needs. Maintain
confidentiality and professional standards in all interactions.
Qualifications and Experience: Proven expertise as a Sign Language
Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting. Ability to work
onsite during school hours from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, or afternoons
from 11:00 am to 3:15 pm. Willingness to accept a provisional
license if EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment)
score is below 4.0. Strong communication skills and the ability to
adapt interpretation methods to various learning contexts.
Additional Information: Elementary caseload focus. Contract term
extends through the 2025-2026 school year. This position requires a
reliable, detail-oriented interpreter dedicated to supporting
student success through clear, accurate communication. Qualified
