Job Description Job Description Entry level Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance and repairs on Whirlpool dishwashers and washing machines. This position involves working in a clean, safe, and climate-controlled environment. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing Whirlpool equipment to be resold to a third party. Responsibilities Grade, test, and repair appliances such as microwaves, laundry machines, dishwashers, and ranges. Meet productivity standards after the initial three weeks of training. Assist in other operational areas as needed. Utilize the WMS system to complete appliance testing and grading according to Whirlpool and company standards. Wear protective equipment as needed. Identify sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation; diagnose and make repairs as necessary. Document the performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages, and other projects. Essential Skills Mechanical skills, including preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. Experience as a maintenance technician with mechanical assembly. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, including drives, motors, bearings, conveyors, PLCs, and HVAC systems. Ability to read simple electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings. Experience with Microsoft Office. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is super clean and safe within an extremely large distribution center that includes automation and robotics. You will work alongside many people onsite, and the only personal item you need to bring on your first day is steel-toed footwear; everything else will be provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Romeoville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.75 - $22.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
