Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electronics Repair Technician Job Description We are seeking an experienced Electronics Repair Technician who will be primarily responsible for evaluating and repairing wireless communications products at the board level. This role requires a meticulous individual who can execute test procedures, troubleshoot and repair modules, and meticulously document repair results. Responsibilities Evaluate and repair wireless communications products, focusing on board level repair. Execute test procedures and test wireless devices using RF test equipment. Remove faulty components, perform solder replacement, and retest. Utilize production test procedures to troubleshoot and repair modules and printed circuit boards. Read and understand PCB layout images, component data sheets, and rework instructions. Document the results of repairs of defective modules and printed circuit boards. Observe electrical products handling safety codes and regulations. Essential Skills Minimum of five years of experience with board level troubleshooting and repair. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layout, and assembly documents for electronic printed circuit boards. Proficient in surface mount soldering of electrical components on various types of circuit boards and electronic assemblies. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable soldering both through-hole and SMT devices, including small 0201 parts and BGAs. Ability to multitask between two or more projects. Excellent communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience testing wireless communication devices preferred. Work Environment Work in a team environment within a new, well-lit, organized, and temperature-controlled facility. The work schedule is from 7:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Thursday, and 7:00am to 11:00am on Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55900.00 - $84300.00/yr. 401k, dental, vision, 2 weeks PTO Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Rolling Meadows,IL.
