As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating manual
mills, specifically Clausing, and working with materials such as
steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. You will be expected to read
blueprints and drawings to manufacture parts, utilize micrometers
and calipers for inspections, and operate CNC machinery when
needed. Responsibilities Operate manual mills (Clausing) as
required. Work with steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials.
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to create parts. Utilize
micrometers and calipers for part inspections. Operate CNC
machinery when necessary. Essential Skills Proficiency in machining
and manual machining. Experience with lathes and manual mills.
Ability to read micrometers and calipers. Ability to read and
interpret blueprints and drawings. Additional Skills &
Qualifications CNC operation experience is a plus but not required.

environment is a clean, old-school machine shop where you will work
alongside laborers and other machinists. You will have your own
personal space to make your own, with all tools provided, although
you are welcome to bring your own if desired. Prescription safety

is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL. Pay and
Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
