We run a paperless shop on ProShop ERP and leverage automation to keep quality high and lead times tight. We’re growing — and we’re looking for a CNC professional who wants to grow with us for the long haul. A day in this role You’ll start your shift by loading your jobs in ProShop ERP, reviewing work instructions, and staging tools and materials at a clean, organized workstation. As parts run, you’ll keep a sharp eye on tool wear, coolant and chip flow, and machine alarms to ensure steady, in?tolerance results. You’ll perform scheduled in?process checks (IPCs) and submit results to Quality, communicate any anomalies to your Shop Lead, and support the team with deburring, cleaning, and chip removal. With qualified experience, you’ll also set up 3?, 4?, or 5?axis mills to launch the next job smoothly. What you’ll do Operate CNC mills using documented work instructions in ProShop ERP Load and unload parts; verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and other basic metrology tools With qualified experience, perform setups on 3, 4, or 5?axis mills Complete and submit in?process checks (IPCs) to Quality at defined intervals Monitor tooling, coolant, chip evacuation, and machine alarms for consistent part quality Assist with shop support tasks: deburring, cleaning, and chip management Flag part or machine issues quickly to your Shop Lead What you bring High school diploma or equivalent 6 months in manufacturing or a machine shop preferred Blueprint literacy and confidence with basic inspection tools Strong attention to detail and commitment to documented processes Positive, team?first mindset and a drive to improve Why Carr Machine & Tool State?of?the?art facility with 5?axis automation Family?owned with a reputation for quality and innovation Team culture centered on throughput, quality, and delivery Clean, organized, fully supported work environment Benefits Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans.
