The Wheeling, IL facility is FDA-registered and ISO-certified, specializing in advanced Swiss CNC machining within a regulated medical manufacturing environment. Position Summary The Swiss CNC Set-Up Technician is responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and supporting Swiss-type CNC machines to ensure efficient production of high-quality medical components. This role works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities Set up and change over Swiss CNC machines according to job specifications Load programs, set tooling, adjust offsets, and perform first-piece inspections Troubleshoot machining and process issues to maintain quality and uptime Monitor production runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection documentation Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, comparators, etc.) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with GMP and FDA requirements Collaborate with operators, engineers, and quality personnel to support continuous improvement Qualifications Prior experience setting up Swiss CNC machines (medical manufacturing experience preferred) Strong understanding of CNC machining processes and tooling Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Experience using precision measuring tools Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments (ISO, FDA, GMP) preferred Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team For California Applicants: We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) , and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).
