We are working with an amazing NON PROFIT organization in Carol Stream, Illinois that is looking for a Director of Grants Administration.--GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIESThe Director of Grants Management will have oversight responsibility for government and United Way grants at the agency and act as the administrative grant manager for the DuPage Youth Services Coalition.Responsibilities include facilitation and leadership in writing and completing grant applications; consulting with executive management on new grant opportunities and applications; ensuring that all grants are managed within budget and fiscal guidelines; and facilitating the process of policy and procedure development that arises from grant requirements. The Director of Grants Management will have oversight of agency-wide grant work with Site Directors and program staff and carry administrative authority in holding staff accountable to perform grant-required services in compliance with grant guidelines, to meet stated outcomes and to provide timely service statistics.DESCRIPTION OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of the Management staff, the Director of Grants Management will perform core competencies that are necessary for those in leadership at OCM to be successful in their role.A. Staff & Intern Management - Oversees the work of the Grants Manager and Grant Assistant. Provides training and support as needed; holds staff accountable for job responsibilities and time management; encourages professional growth and development. Sets learning objectives and oversees the work and use of grant department InternsB. Grant Management & Writing- Works with Senior Management to research new grant opportunities and submit grants as agreed. Collaborates with Site Directors to write/ re-write the grants. Manages all related United Way information (program budgets, revisions, program plans, reports). Works with outside consultants/ agencies in grant preparation as needed.C. Grant Oversight & Reporting- Reviews and distributes grant program contracts to executive management, business office and site directors. Develops and distributes reports internally to executive management, site directors and business office. Prepares OCM staff and program for State and DYSC monitoring. Holds site directors accountable to perform services within grant guidelines; to meet stated outcomes; to provide timely service statistics. Maintains an awareness of grant related information coming from grantors. Disseminates information to staff on a timely basis.D. Financial Management- Analyzes grant program expenditures and supports executive management and site directors in the development of the annual budget. Regularly reviews the financial statements for grant projects and makes recommendations. Generates grant program reports for use from Financial Edge.E. Contact Person- Attends mandatory meetings for grants when appropriate. Serves as back up for Site Directors and Executive Management for grant related meetings.QualificationBachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. 7 years grant experience; 5 years staff management experience and previous fiscal management experience. High level proficiency in research, interpreting and analyzing diverse data; excellent writing skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; strong project management skills; ability to produce quality work product under time constraints while establishing standards and deadlines for team members; intermediate skills in Microsoft Word/ Excel/ Outlook and experience with digital project management tools.All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
