highly visible and plays a critical part in assisting the
organization achieve its defined strategic goals. This position
plans, designs, and implements training strategies to maximize the
development of our colleagues across the organization.Our Director
Learning and Development is primarily responsible for the
following:
- In coordination with the VP of HR, develops strategic learning
and development goals and corresponding metrics to measure
effectiveness of training.
- Works with department leaders, supervisors, and colleagues to
gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better
understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and
organizational initiatives which involve training.
- Suggests enhancements to current training to keep materials
relevant and current while utilizing new or updated training
techniques.
- Develops and creates new course curriculum and training
materials ensuring they meet identified business needs, the
critical needs of adult learners and utilizes the most effective
training method.
- Provides engaging communications about programs to educate and
build enthusiasm by highlighting the benefits and value of
training.
- Delivers training in person or via webinar. Works with subject
matter experts to ensure consistency in their delivery and
application of training techniques/standards across the
organization.
- Evaluates company performance measurement tools such as;
leasing performance reports, resident satisfaction feedback,
occupancy trends, etc. and recommends training or other solutions
to enhance performance in the key metrics.
- Conducts follow-up on completed training programs to track
progress towards defined goals and to assess overall effectiveness
of training.
- Collaborates with Management and Construction Executives in the
planning and execution of the Annual Management Seminar. Ensure all
assigned committees are meeting deadlines and budget
expectations.
- Assists in developing the annual training budgets for
departments requiring training in the upcoming year.Our Director
Learning and Development must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Training & Development, Education, Human
Resources, Psychology, Business, or any other related field or
equivalent, relevant experience.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years' previous experience leading the
training and development function in a multi-site
organization.
- Candidates with previous Property Management industry
experience will be prioritized.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional
design and creation of training materials, tools and aids.
- Must be passionate about educating and developing individuals
and meeting people where they are at in their development
journey.
- Ability to lead with integrity, compassion and by prioritizing
the needs of others first.
- Ability to cultivate professional and mutually respectful
relationships internally and externally.
- Prior experience in designing objective and measurable program
goals and monitoring success through identified metrics.
- Prior use of web-based training platforms and e-learning
systems.
- Excellent organization skills, ability to effectively
prioritize tasks and manage multiple and often competing
deadlines.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to
gather, organize, analyze, and present data to multiple
audiences.
