Job Description:
The DuPage County Health Department (DCHD) seeks a dedicated
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to enhance our team of
expert healthcare providers. This position plays a crucial role in
offering clinical counseling services to community members,
assisting them through disease prevention, health promotion, and
mental health interventions. With a focus on evidence-based
practices, you will contribute significantly towards improving
mental health outcomes within DuPage County, adapting strategies to
benefit diverse community needs and promoting crisis readiness.
Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to address mental
health needs. Develop and implement treatment plans based on
clinical experience and standardized assessments. Collaborate with
other healthcare professionals to plan and coordinate treatment.
Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Provide crisis intervention services as needed. Engage in
continuous education to stay informed of the latest practices in
clinical counseling. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Expertise in various therapeutic techniques and modalities Ability
to handle high-stress situations Proficiency in clinical assessment
tools Cultural awareness and sensitivity Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Licensed
Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the state of
Illinois. Certification in crisis intervention preferred.
