Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Chicago, IL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,235 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/3/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Chicago, Illinois, 60612! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in ICU License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proven ability to float between units as needed Description: Position requires an experienced Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. Schedule is night shifts for three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend requirement includes working every other weekend, totaling two weekends per month. Requested time off is limited to a maximum of five days with no more than two consecutive days. No time off is permitted on weekends or holidays. All staff may be required to float to various units based on facility needs. Floating between several ICU units may include Burn ICU, Medical ICU, and Neuro ICU. If necessary, staff may also float to medical-surgical units. Orientation and precepting will occur on day shifts during the first week. Daily responsibilities involve various critical care skills, including management of multi-system organ dysfunction and care of ventilated patients. Strong knowledge of interpretation of dysrhythmias and management of arterial and central lines is essential. Successful candidates will function in a collaborative team environment supporting patient care across different units. Candidates are expected to comply with facility policies, including any mandatory floats.
