be considered. Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR) | Waukegan,
IL | Contract Assignment An opportunity is available for an
experienced Registered Nurse with OR specialization to join a
dynamic surgical team in Waukegan, IL. This contract role offers
the chance to apply your expertise in operating room nursing within
a collaborative hospital environment. Location Overview:Waukegan,
IL is a vibrant city located approximately 35 miles north of
downtown Chicago with easy access to urban amenities and lakeside
recreation. Its proximity to a major metropolitan area provides

for healthcare professionals seeking a balanced lifestyle. Role
Responsibilities: Provide perioperative nursing care to surgical
patients in the Operating Room, maintaining standards for safety
and quality. Collaborate with surgical teams including surgeons,
anesthesiologists, and other nursing staff to ensure efficient and
effective procedures. Utilize specialized knowledge in
ophthalmology and robotic-assisted surgery (Da Vinci system) to
support complex cases. Participate in on-call rotations, responding
promptly to urgent surgical needs within designated response times.
Adhere to hospital policies and documentation requirements to
maintain compliance and accreditation standards. Qualifications &
Desired Experience: Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum 2 years of experience in OR nursing with proficiency in
ophthalmology and robotic surgery. Completion of at least one prior
travel nursing contract preferred. BLS certification required.
Experience with Epic electronic medical records system is
advantageous. Ability to reliably respond on-call within 30 minutes
of the hospital. Required pre-employment health screenings,
including CBC, Drug Screen, and QuantiFERON gold within 90 days.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
On-call availability including some weekends. Contract Duration:
Approximately 8 weeks. This contract opportunity provides a
