Lead Software Engineer permanent position at Chicago, IL

• Full-timeTitle: Lead Software EngineerLocation: Chicago, ILType: PermanentThe primary objective of this role is to manage and develop the product feature roadmap as it relates to the backend system and APIs for a quickly growing early-stage startup.The hire will be required to make key decisions on system architecture and lead integrations with third-party systems. This role will be fundamental in helping choose future developer hires and crafting the processes and requirements for our technology team as the business scales.Minimum Requirements:
• 3+ years full stack web development experience (LAMP)
• 3+ years of API development experience
• Advanced MySQL skills - querying, optimization, indexing, complex joins
• 1+ year experience working with at least one community-driven framework
• Formal education in Computer Science or a related disciplineNice-to-Haves:
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflow
