POSITION SUMMARY:

Under close supervision the Logistics Worker performs a variety of warehouse tasks and duties. Employees in this job class primarily pick/pack orders using an RF scanner and perform shipping and receiving duties. This role is fast paced and hands on, with the ability to multi-task at a high level.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

* Loads and unloads boxes.
* Restocks and replenishes items.
* Performs basic shipping and receiving duties.
* May operate equipment such as, ink jet, pallet jack, conveyor belt and case sealer
* Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
* Denotes Essential Job Function

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Experience working in a similar role either in a manufacturing, transportation, or warehousing setting desired but not required;
* Able to follow verbal and written instructions;
* Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and request;
* Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;
* Team player and detail oriented.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:

* Maneuvering in and around equipment
* Bending and stooping
* Pushing carts up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
* Using a pallet jack
* Lifting boxes or equipment up to 50 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with forklifts and production equipment. Employees may be exposed to noise from equipment and may be exposed to elevated temperatures, high heat, occasional fumes, toxic chemicals, and airborne particles.
