Job Description:

Major Responsibilities:Prepares all cold items and light bakery accurately for patients, cafe,and catering.Adheres to department safety,sanitation, service/communications standards.Education/Experience Required:High School Diploma. 1 yr. food service experience - preferr hospital cold prep experience.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:Good verbal skills. Ability to read & follow a recipe. Basic computer and math skillsN/APhysicial Requirements and Working Conditions:-100% or the time is spent standing and walking. -Ability to lift on a daily basis - 15 - 25 pounds. -Equipment used - mixers, chef knife, tomato slicers, Hobart slicers, Cuisinarts and convection ovens.This requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 08/01/2014. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For lifts over 35 pounds, lifting equipment is expected to be used or lift with at least one other associate when available. Unique lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case by case basis.This job description indicates the general nature and level of work expected of the incumbent.
