Job Description:

First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (Fridays are overtime during busy season)

Position Overview
The Flat Panel Laser Operator is responsible for setting up and operating laser cutting machines to ensure production meets or exceeds quality standards and established production rates. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and quality within our manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
--- - - - -Set up, program, and operate flat panel laser cutting machines and other fabrication equipment.
--- - - - -Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on machines as needed.
--- - - - -Monitor production to ensure materials meet required quality standards.
--- - - - -Inspect finished products to ensure accuracy and compliance with specifications.
--- - - - -Achieve established production rates while maintaining high-quality output.
--- - - - -Identify and report defects in raw materials and finished products to the team leader promptly.
--- - - - -Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to execute tasks accurately.
--- - - - -Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, verniers, and other precision instruments.
--- - - - -Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments regarding production issues and improvements.
--- - - - -Assist in operating other fabrication machines as assigned by management.
--- - - - -Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.

What We're Looking For
--- - - - -Experience: Minimum of one year in CNC operation, programming, and editing.
--- - - - -Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
--- - - - -Technical Skills:
o - - - -Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices (calipers, verniers, etc.).
o - - - -Knowledge of routers, production schedules, and inventory control documentation.
o - - - -Basic understanding of machine programming and troubleshooting.
--- - - - -Soft Skills:
o - - - -Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
o - - - -Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and supervisors.
o - - - -Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o - - - -Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed to support production goals.
--- - - - -Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
