Summary
The Site Reliability Engineer is a member of the IT team and is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of the corporate IT infrastructure and cloud services. This role will require technical expertise in infrastructure, hardware, network, and cloud.
Responsibilities

• 
  Responsible for providing level 2 support for the data center and cloud operations.
  
  
• 
  Ability to support cloud services (Azure), compute, VMWare, storage, and networking environments. Citrix knowledge an asset.
  
  
• 
  Emphasis on automating processes, ensure system scaling, resolving incidents, and proactively identifying and implementing preventative measures.
  
  
• 
  Effective collaboration with infrastructure, application, project management, and other technology services teams within Information Systems and Technology (IST)
  
  
• 
  Supports the Infrastructure and Cloud Architect.
  
  
• 
  Support enterprise standards to ensure compatibility and integration of multi-vendor platforms.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations
  
  
• 
  Provide support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise
  
  
• 
  Communicates and collaborates with local IT staff as well as colleagues in other parts of the world for configuration and troubleshooting.

    Requirements
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies
      
      
    • 
      Thorough knowledge of cloud concepts in a Microsoft Azure environment. Certification in MS Azure an asset.
      
      
    • 
      Thorough knowledge of Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, cloud, and application software
      
      
    • 
      Linux skills an asset
      
      
    • 
      Strong working knowledge of VCenter/VMware or other virtual software
      
      
    • 
      Deep understanding of TCP/IP and other network protocols
      
      
    • 
      Familiarity with DNS, DHCP and other network services
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge of enterprise storage systems (Pure Storage, EMC, etc.) an asset
      
      
    • 
      Microsoft certification preferred in either Windows Server 2012/2016
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge of Citrix or Azure Virtual Desktop an asset.
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge of Cisco network and voice equipment and technologies
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge of managing a data center in terms of systems monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning
      
      
    • 
      Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks, and keep abreast of the latest technology
      
      
    • 
      Skilled in light programming, project management of small initiatives, and troubleshooting
      
      
    • 
      Understanding of Zero-Trust methodologies an asset
      
      
      Will need to take on-call responsibilities to support a 24/7 environment
