Sturtevant Richmont is seeking a Shipping Clerk for a 1st shift position. Sturtevant Richmont, a division of Snap-on Incorporated, is a manufacturer of torque wrenches, screwdrivers and testing equipment. • Participate in sorting, assembling and shipping tools to customers.
• Keeps records pertaining to such shipments and is familiar with the various methods of shipping (parcel post, express, freight, truck) and other factors which require a considerable knowledge of shipping procedures, practices, routes, available means of transportation and rates.
• Makes up bills of lading, posts weights and shipping records.
• May also assume the duties of a receiving clerk, who receives, unpacks and verifies the correctness of shipments against bills of lading and other records.
  • High school diploma or a GED is preferred
  • Related experience required
  • Good attention to detail
