Maintenance Technician FULL-TIME
$27/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus, see details below

Effectively and safely operates standard maintenance tools such as power tools, basic hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance from daily up to Semi-Annual.
Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
Complete minor troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical related issues without direct supervision.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Follow prescribed safety rules and regulation as well as other departmental policies and procedures. Help to develop proper safety techniques.
Detect, document, report and repair improper machine operation and faulty equipment.
Follow and perform emergency procedures regarding power failures.
Diversify maintenance skills that will allow assignments to be given in any work areas as required and, on any shift, required
Understand and certify in our LOTO program.
Effectively inform through written communication daily pass-downs issues and actions.
Required Competencies & Knowledge:
Standard practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical components.
Extensive knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of PLC's and conveyor systems

**Pay range is from $27-32/HR
ORD-04 WS-04 WS-TC WS-LC

Schedule

Shift start: 4:00AM or 1:00PM or 9:00PM
Shift length: 10 hours
Monday-Friday some saturdays

  • Must be at least 18+ years old Has completed or is working on a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience. Basic PLC operation and understanding of programs. Pneumatic, hydraulic system repairs. Communicate effectively both verbally and written. Ensure collaborative relationships with HFS staff. Issue and receive instructions using known guidelines. Lead 'best in class' behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policies. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, PM system tracking Work is primarily done on a manufacturing production floor. Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperatures. Sitting at a work station for short periods of time. Frequent line calls throughout the building requiring immediate response. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis.
    
    $1000 new hire incentive
    
    You will also receive a one-time signing bonus of $1,000.00, less applicable taxes. This bonus will be payable $500.00 after the first 3 months and $500.00 after the next three months from your start date. If your employment terminates (voluntarily or for cause) within a one (1) year period following payment of the bonus, you will be responsible to pay back this bonus in full to Hearthside. Should your employment terminate (voluntarily or for cause) within the second year, you will be responsible to pay back 50% of the signing bonus.
