services grounded in the belief that the best place for children to
grow up is in a family. Under the CSE (counseling, support, and
education services) supervisor, the therapist/clinician provides
counseling and support to children and families as they need help
to cope with the stresses of daily living and manage psycho-social
adjustments to everyday life issues. Methods include individual,
family, and group services conducted in the office and/or in the
community. Primary methods include counseling, education,
supportive interventions that enhance personal growth and
development, and situational changes that recognize the
sociocultural values, goals, and lifestyles of the persons served.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Obtains information from
client and collateral contacts pertinent to assessing applicant's
concerns and determination of service needs. Evaluates the client's
psycho-social functioning to determine an appropriate plan of
service that outlines goals and objectives or refers to appropriate
community resource if the client's service is not appropriate to
Child link. Assesses progress and/or outcomes to provide services
as required by program policies Provides follow-up services with
the consent of the client Receives weekly individual and group
supervision (ongoing clinical education) Prepares activity reports
as required by program policies and procedures as requested by the
supervisor Attends training events as required to meet CEU
licensure requirements and/or program training requirements/staff
and other meetings required by supervisor. Performs a coordinating
function to service programs, community counseling services, etc
Performs all other duties as assigned. Education: Master's degree
in social work/counseling/psychology from an accredited institution
LCSW, LCPC, Psy D preferred Qualifications: Combination of
experience and education that meets Illinois legal requirements for
clinical or mental health counseling An individual who is
self-motivated with time management skills and cares for the
population with mental health issues. Schedule: 40H, Monday to
Friday 10am-6pm flexible Job Type: Full-time
